Our deepest condolences

 

Dear Newly Bereaved,

 

We are so sorry for the loss of your child.  We know the pain you are feeling ; the way your mind is spinning and your heart is aching.  We have been there.  Please take a slow, deep breath now and know that we are here with you.

 

If there is anything we wish to tell you first it is - be kind and gentle with yourself.  There is a long unfamiliar journey ahead and you need to walk slowly, taking one day at a time, one moment at a time if necessary.  You may not believe me now, but it is possible to live well again.  There is a light at the end of this dark tunnel.

 

In this section, and in particular in “Parents share”, we have identified many things that have helped us cope with loss over the years - from taking on a new purpose to simply doing a random act of kindness.   We hope that you will find these helpful to your healing.  Write to us if you need to clarify anything. Our experiences may be very different but we are certainly united in the loss and love for our child.
