We have held a memorial event every 2 years since we began.  In March 2006 and March 2008, many bereaved families, their families and friends, came together at East Coast Park for an early evening picnic style event with music and poetry readings.  Both these events culminated with a mass balloon release.  In December 2010 we joined in with the worldwide candle lighting memorial organised globally by The Compassionate Friends.  This was a peaceful, reflective evening gathering again at East Coast Park, and families sat together and shared poetry readings by candlelight.
